MSO 804P Sandglow 1976 'P' manual, 2200HL

For sale is my late grandfather's Princess, in need of recommissioning. He owned the car as the second owner, from 1982.
Mileage is 43k as shown.
He was a Motor Engineer/Mechanic for 70+ years and maintained the vehicle to a very high standard.
It has been dry stored from 1982 and was last on the road in 1993. Log book present. One set of keys but second set may still turn up.
The front wings were replaced sometime in 80s and so are fitted with indicator repeaters and an additional Lucas electric aerial.
The suspension spheres quite clearly need recharged/replaced as the body is more or less sitting on the bump stops.
Interior is in very good order with noticeable wear to the PVC covering of the drivers seat and a cigarette burn on the door card of the O/S rear passenger door. Faulty headlamp dip switch was replaced with a non-standard latching switch.
Interior light works but is missing the diffuser.
Electrics all work as intended including the period radio cassette connected to a period Lucas graphic equaliser.
Paint work is very good overall but is cracking in areas on the rear valance. Bubbling is just noticeable N/S corner of the bootlid.
Underneath looks absolutely solid having been dry stored for 44 years.
Engine was last started 2 years ago and idled beautifully. Tried again today but battery is flat and clutch disengages but doesn't engage again when you take your foot off the pedal.
Bonnet struts no longer bear the weight of the bonnet and so requires an improvised prop to keep it open.
Last 3 photos is of a damaged donor engine which he kept for spares and never required. This is included in the sale.
Vehicle is in Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire and will require trailering away.
We are looking for £4000.
