Welcome to this affectionate website dedicated to one of the most stylish and underrated cars of the 1970s - the Leyland Princess. From its inception in 1975 as the Austin, Morris and Wolseley 18-22 Series through to the short lived Austin Ambassador. The main aim of this site is to enlighten, inform and hopefully, entertain. Everyone remembers the Princess or ‘Wedge’ as it was more commonly known; you either love it or loathe it. Either way I hope you enjoy the following pages, and you may even find out why it’s ‘not the car for Mr Average!’
