Someone, on a Facebook page, suggested that this cutaway Princess in New Zealand "Looks as though it has some kind of air conditioning system fitted". He is, of course, incorrect in that this is the Exhaust Emission Control System which was fitted as standard to cars exported to Sweden &, presumably, NZ as well. Can anyone tell me the point of it and what it does, or rather, how it does it?

I am amazed they went to the trouble of creating a sectioned car for the New Zealand market. Do you think that it was sectioned locally or at Cowley? Is there (or was there) a factory sectioned Princess in the UK?
